Greg Hawkes of The Cars talks with Boston Music Spotlight

The New Cars are having a helluva summer, and keyboardist (and all-around good guy) Greg Hawkes couldn’t be happier.
The former Berklee student is a prodigious musician – playing guitar, saxophone, clarinet, flute and ukulele, among other instruments – and composer, co-authoring Cars hits like "Moving in Stereo." He has made albums with Paul McCartney and Martin Mull, and has been tapped to score a film or two. When he’s not touring with The New Cars, he can be found playing concerts with his fellow Ukulele Noir members in clubs around the Boston area.
Greg took a few moments in between gigs to answer some questions about The New Cars, touring and why he thinks they’ve withstood the test of time.
